Christophe Laporte sprints for silver at Wollongong 2022. The French rider eventually proved to be the secret captain of his national team and brought home a fine silver medal.

After so many seasons in which he collected successes in minor races, this year the transalpine rider also made his mark on the big stages. The French team therefore had to 'settle' for second place, after Julian Alaphilippe's two consecutive successes.
