Kaufkompass, the new test portal of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, one of the most authoritative and widely circulated national newspapers in Germany, has tested the K-Tour tights and received the best result compared to the competition.
Very comfortable, warm and well-finished winter cycling tights, with wide and comfortable braces.
The Alé K-Tour surprised us. As year-round cyclists, we have worn many winter tights from other brands, but none have ever felt as comfortable as the K-Tour. This is mainly due - and how could it be otherwise - to the material. The water-repellent polyamide blend fabric is softened on the inside and is very stretchy compared to other fabrics, which makes it pleasant to wear. Then there are the wide and very soft braces, which do not cut in, and which blend into the beautifully finished mesh back.
We used the pants on a 70 km road bike tour in the Bavarian Oberland. We found the sewn-in “Klima 8h” seat pad to be particularly comfortable, as it moulds to the saddle in a pleasantly discreet way and ensures a consistently high level of comfort throughout the ride. Despite its elasticity, it does not have any pressure points or chafing, which can sometimes occur with overly soft padding.
There are undoubtedly excellent winter cycling pants from other manufacturers, but in terms of the elasticity and softness of the material, the K-Tour from Alé is, in our opinion, a unique product.
