Undrafted Cycling: Tra novità e passione

Undrafted Cycling: Between news and passion

The Undrafted Cycling project has entered its second year and compared to the initial project, a few things have changed in form but not in substance. The spirit that drives Daniele Calvi and his fellow adventurers has not changed, the basis is still fun and the desire to explore the world by bike. Everything, however, has become bigger. As is only right when you set to work on something that then takes final shape and substance.

The guys from Undrafted Cycling put their first trip behind them, which took them straight to Spain, more precisely to Girona on the roads of the Santa Vall.

‘The year 2025 sees several novelties,’ Daniele Calvi explains at once, "because compared to last year, there are four guys who will ride with the Undrafted project: Alessio Cremona, Jasper de Kort, Gala Giannini and Daniele.

Is the calendar easy to manage?
We all made an effort to find events in which we would be happy to participate, but let's not forget that behind Undrafted there are not athletes, but workers. Each of us has to deal with days off and the commitments of a “normal” life. If we participate in Unbound, for which we have applied, we may not be full. Also because just a few days before we will be at the Tuscany Trail and not everyone can take ten days off at the beginning of June.

You were telling us about the equipment, what has changed since last year?
The bikes are still made by Drali, we all use the Miraggio model. It's a gravel bike with a steel frame, which is strong and very flexible. It combines well our needs and those of the races we are going to do. We also have a new graphic design, which enhances the Drali name much more. We met at the end of September to decide on the sizes and the components to be used. By the way, a nice novelty is the entry of Alé into the project. They contacted us directly and said they were interested in collaborating together. We also did some shooting for custom campaigns.
