Premiazioni Alé Challenge

On Saturday, 22 October, the traditional Alé prize-giving took place, recognising those who have participated in and won the largest number of cycling granfondos in the Alé Challenge 2022 circuit. On this occasion, the 2023 edition of the Alé La Merckx Granfondo Internazionale di Verona was presented.

The traditional end-of-season event celebrating the Alé Challenge and all those who took part in it in 2022 was held on Saturday 22 October starting at 17.30. The formal prize-giving took place inside the Palariso, in Isola della Scala near Verona. Organised by Alé, the well-known Veronese cycling apparel company, the Alé Challenge is now in its 16th edition and this year again confirmed itself as the no. 1 circuit in Italy in terms of number of participants. 1 in Italy for number of subscribers. A total of 680 subscribers took part in the 2022 edition which, we remind you, this year included the following prestigious Granfondo:

10/04/2022 GF Via del Sale
24/04/2022 GF Whysport
01/05/2022 GF Giancarlo Perini
08/05/2022 GF Internazionale Felice Gimondi Bianchi
15/05/2022 GF Squali Trek
29/05/2022 GF Marcialonga Cycling
05/06/2022 GF Alé La Merckx
10/06/2022 Sardinia Challenge

26/06/2022 Carnia Classic
10/07/2022 GF La Pinarello
17/07/2022 GF Matildica

The Alé Challenge patent, the coveted goal of the event, is obtained by completing at least 5 out of 12 routes. In total, the Alé Challenge 'patented' 274 cyclists this year. The prize-giving ceremony recognised the first 10 finishers in each category for the medium and long routes of each round of the Alé Challenge and the 10 companies with the highest number of patented cyclists. To each one Alé gave a special gift: an Alé jersey specifically for indoor training during the winter or to use as a base-layer on colder outings. The colourful graphics are combined with a light microfibre fabric and mesh on the sides, which make the garment breathable and quick-drying. Three practical pockets on the back complete the outfit.

Presenting the prizes was Alessia Piccolo, CEO of APG, the company to which Alé belongs, who commented: "The Alé Challenge is a traditional and unmissable event for us. A moment of sharing and friendship with the many fans that I often meet during the year on the roads of the circuit's granfondistici events. For Alé, being close to cyclists is a priority, and the Alé Challenge allows us to get in touch with our end users, to find out more about them, their tastes, what they want and love about our clothes. It's also an opportunity to say goodbye and to meet at the Alé Challenge 2023!"
