1° GRAN PREMIO ALÉ
On 4 September, the Gran Premio Alé Cycling dedicated to girls in the Esordienti and Allieve categories took place. A moment of all-female cycling, a beautiful celebration of sport with the family.
A beautiful event, organised under the aegis of the Italian Cycling Federation, that the famous Veronese cycling clothing company wanted to dedicate to young female cyclists, in the purest spirit of the brand.
Starting in front of the company, the course wound its way through the municipality of Sorgà for a total of 5 km that the girls repeated six times, in the case of the Esordienti, and eleven times, in the case of the Allieve. On the starting line also the Italian road and track champion 2022 (cat. Esordienti), Matilde Rossignoli (GS Luc Bovolone - team of which Alé is a partner) and the national road champion 2022 cat. Allieve, Francesca Genna (Team UC Conscio Pedale del Sile). Kicking off was the mayor of Bonferraro, Christian Nuvolari.
The public in attendance, who came in large numbers to applaud the girls, was greeted by a set-up in grand style, with placas, barriers and banners, and where it was also possible to discover the latest clothing from the Veronese brand.
"I've said it often, but I like to repeat it because it's important for us," commented Alessia Piccolo, CEO of APG, the company that is part of Alé. "Youth cycling has to be followed and has to be 'nurtured', it has to be helped by every means and it has to grow together with the young promises. Alé is at the side of the young and the great cyclists, and above all, of the young and the great female cyclists, because the women's movement has always been a priority for us. This event, which will certainly not remain the only one, is an example of that."
