The Queen of MTB

FFC is gold: Pauline Ferrand-Prevot wins gold medal at the MTB World Championships in Les Gets and Loic Bruni in downhill is World Champion for the fifth time.

Extraordinary performance by the French Federation at the World Championships in Les Gets, with 12 medals.

Of particular note was the race of MTB queen Pauline Ferrand-Prevot, who, in the Cross Country category, dominated the race from start to finish, taking home her fourth world title after those of 2015, 2019 and 2020. Prévot, with a frightening pace, immediately drew a blank on her rivals, finishing the race by edging out her eternal rival Jolanda Neff in second place at 1'35" from the top. After the disappointment of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, she took the Cross Country World Championships by storm, confirming herself as the absolute ruler of world cycling.

Another important gold came from Downhill, and it was Loic Bruni who took it, crowning French champion for the fifth time.
After an underwhelming season, Loic proved his quality by edging out fellow rivals Amaury Pierron and Loris Vergier: An all-French podium.
